Bringing your mind and thoughts back to what you are feeling, and then determine why, is one way to help you improve your skills to feel and sense different subtle energies.
A way you can improve your skills to sense different subtle energies is to pay more attention to how you feel. You can start by paying attention to how you feel at different times during day, and then see if you can associate a cause and affect to what you are feeling. Is For example, do you feel differently based on the time of day it is? Or do you feel differently due to what you ate? Or where you are located? Or with the people you are with? Or could it be based on what you are thinking about? Or hearing?
Bringing your mind and thoughts back to what you are feeling, and then determine why, is one way to help you improve your skills to feel and sense different subtle energies.
The reason a person may want to cultivate spiritual energy process is to enhance and deepen your life experiences. When you cultivate spiritual energy, you change your personal energetic vibration so it can match to different subtle, spiritual energies. When your inner energetic self matches a certain frequency, you can then connect with, interact, direct, use, and communicate with that energetic frequency. When this happens, you have spiritual experiences that are aligned with that energy frequency.
For example, you begin to SENSE things beyond your physical senses. You may start to see nonphysical images, for example. Or be able to move through time and space. Or know things but not know how you know them.
There are different tools to help you learn to change your personal energetic self, such as food, sex, sound, color, ritual, meditation, contact & movement. There are also different methods to help you improve how you connect and align with these different energetic vibrations to enhance the results you receive.
Learning to cultivate, sense, connect with, and partner with these different subtle energies will change your life. It opens a door into new understanding and awareness. And one of the best things is this process of cultivating spiritual energy stays with your energetic body and self. It creates new and different energetic threads that will stay with you beyond this physical life.

I keep an ‘energy journal’ and record events that happened that day. This includes things like dreams, or changes in my feelings, or ideas I am pondering. It also may include encounters with spiritual beings, or meditation results, or moments of wonder in nature. My goal is to have a written record of my spiritual experiences and 'moments of awe' so I can remember them, retrieve them, or ponder and learn from them. Keeping a written record has become a way to help me stay focused, as well as provide a means to assess, or even change my path.
I used to manually write things down in a notebook, but it was challenging to try and relocate specific events in a manual record. I then switched to typing everything into the computer and then storing it in 'the cloud'. This allowed me better access from any computer as well as the means to search everything at once with just key words or phrases.
Next, I started to place events that really stood out, on a spreadsheet. This became a summary of highlights and events, helping me to assess trends. Some of those moments were just single events and it helped me appreciate them as gifts. This record keeping and assessment process helped motivate me to keep focused as well as determine new directions to take.
For me, recording my spiritual experiences has helped me stay alert and keep driving myself on path to search for more awe and wonder.
When you consistently work on cultivating Qi, something changes. When you first start to cultivate Qi, you will most likely start to have occasional moments of wonder and awe happen in your life. It starts out being an occasional event, but if you consistently put effort in cultivating Qi, those moments of wonder become more frequent. In fact, eventually, you can sense a change, and the moments of awe and wonder are not just "staccato-like" - happening now and again - but become more of a flow. It is as if you realize you are a part of the flow of Qi, and you become aware that instead of these transitory moments of wonder happening in, to, and around you, you realize you part of this interplay of energy, are connected and a part of this flow, and are indeed a spark of awe and wonder in itself.
When you cultivate and work with subtle energy, not only new doors will open for you, but also new awareness and experiences you have never imagined.
You can cultivate the energy of the first chakra and train yourself to develop the spiritual gifts associated with first chakra energy. This spiritual gift is known as personality sensing. It is the ability to not only sense subtle energy of a person or place, but to go deeper, beyond just sensing, but to KNOW. It is as if you are being given inside information about a person or place so you have a complete understanding or awareness of this person or this place. Often times, with personality sensing, you will be SHOWN and image in your mind about hidden events, or will receive the hidden conversations via a telepathic message, or even sense the actual type of energy you are in contact with in a sensing experience.
Often the personality sensing experience is triggered without warning. Because I’m more of a visual person, many of my personality sensing experiences will be displayed as visual images, showing me an actual event that happened with this person, showing me what this person is really up to.
Personality sensing may serve as a warning, to be cautious in your dealings with this person, or to just have expanded data. Other times, the personality sensing may be a type of “pull” to a person that you can not shake. When this happens, it is more than likely your Higher Self letting you know you NEED to be connected with this person because this person is part of your life path.
When the spiritual gift of Personality sensing kicks in, it often is INTENSE and IMMEDIATE. You essentially have no control over the feelings, images, thoughts, and data you are receiving in that single experience.None.
In order to develop and cultivate this skill, you begin by using the tools to cultivate the 1st chakra energy so that chakra is vibrant, available, clear, and it is aligned and balanced with the other chakras. Next, you focus on tuning into your IMPRESSIONS and FEELINGS and pay attention to what happens when you meet or interact with different people. As this skill improves, you may then start to experience images of events these people are in, or have been in - almost as if you are in a waking dream. Later, you will receive messages in your mind that are not yours, providing you with much more detail about what is really going on with this person.
In summary, personality sensing is a spiritual gift associated with the 1st chakra energy. One can cultivate this gift by using the tools associated with the 1st chakra. While one is using the tools to nourish and fortify 1st chakra energy, one practices and develops this gift by
Sensing Qi is one of the first steps in cultivating Qi. Tuning in paying attention to our feelings is one of the first steps to begin to expand our sensing skills.
Feelings are one of the first sensing tools we use because our feelings are always with us. As a result, our feelings naturally become our internal navigation device, almost like a compass or our internal GPS system to help us find our life purpose and navigate our life to satisfy that purpose.
Our feelings are the way we learn to maneuver through our life. It is the way we learn to steer which way we want to go, which decisions we should make, and the type of life we want to live. It is our feelings, and being able to tune in, and then learn to interpret and understand the feeling and the message associated with that feeling.
We have lots of different types of feelings, but when you first start to cultivate Qi and pay attention to feelings to help you learn how to sense Qi, you begin by grouping your feelings into different buckets:
Next, you notice when and why you are having that feeling. For example, “I get a feeling of dread each morning when I get off the elevator and go through the doors at work.” You then recognize you have a negative feeling, you labeled it as dread, and it happens when you go to work.
You then bring in your mental skills and begin to analyze and interpret why you are having those feelings. “Is it just in the morning? Is it just on this floor of the building? Is it associated with the type of job you have? Is it associated with someone you work with?”
As you expand your awareness and go deeper into understanding your feelings and why you are experiencing those feelings, you expand ability to sense and interpret subtle message through feelings. This process and expansion improves your ability to understand your life purpose and to get on, as well as stay on, a life path that is right for you.
There are many different reasons to cultivate subtle energy. For example, if you want your body to be healthier, or to feel as well as possible, you would want to focus on Qi cultivation activities for the body. This type of Qi cultivation is focused on keeping your Qi moving, flowing, fortifying your organs with vibrant Qi, and to maintain energetic balance and health.
If you a person who wants to have more "ahh hah" moments of wonder in your life, or personal promptings and guidance, or perhaps to experience nirvana or a kundalini, the type of Qi Cultivation for you would be to focus on the Qi cultivation of the chakra energies.
If you desire to improve or change the world, or even create miracles, the Qi cultivation you may want to consider focusing on GROUP Qi cultivation, where you bring several people with similar goals together and focus the groups intention towards a positive change or outcome.
Qi Cultivation opens your mind to an awareness beyond the physical, and with that open door, many new experiences are there to be explored and experienced. It essentially is up to you what you want to experience, explore, or use. First comes the awareness, then a desire, then creating the ability, and then having the experience.
Qi Cultivation is something available to everyone. It is just a matter of accepting what is possible, and then opening that door.
When you begin to cultivate Qi, we often begin by cultivating Qi in our bodies to improve our heath and wellness, or cultivate the subtle energy of the chakras to cultivate spiritual energy for spiritual experiences. But another Qi cultivation option is to cultivate the subtle energy in and around where we live - our environmental Qi. When we focus our attention to nourish and improve our environmental space, it often starts to feel like "sacred space" - an area where you, as well as others, can absolutely feel a difference in that space and environment. On one hand, it will reinforce your awareness your meditations and focused attention are making a difference that is noticeable. But on the other hand, it may draw unwanted attention and interference from people (both physical and nonphysical beings) you don't want polluting or hanging around this space. So I would encourage you to create a bubble of protection around your sacred space to prevent unwanted Beings from coming into your fortified energetic area.
My initial desire was to have an abundance of life force energy and healing energy in my home. I would do meditations and rituals to create and direct vibrant, healing energy into my personal environment. People would come to my home and remark how good they felt in my home, so I knew this process of cultivating Qi in my environment was working, but then I had some unwanted SPIRITUAL Beings hanging around in my home, and it kind of scared me because it was growing. I then realized I wanted only people I had met, knew, or wanted in my sacred space, and this meant Spiritual Beings, too.
I then set up a barrier of protection around my house (or you can do a room, or even a corner or space in your home) to keep those who had negative energy, out of my home and sacred space. The process to create this barrier of protection was through a meditation, which is similar to a meditation to protect an individual's body and space, but this meditation was focused on creating a protection around a certain environment. Here is the meditation I use to protect my environment and sacred space:
1. Stand in the middle of the room or space you have set up as being your sacred space.
2. Energetically sink and root your energy into the earth. Visualize yourself sinking into the earth’s core as all stress melts out of the body deep into the earth.
3. Once you are rooted, visualize a column of energy or light coming up from the earth and surrounding you completely.
4. While surrounded by the column, see yourself growing so tall that your head reaches the stars and the column of light that surrounds you ascends and connects to the heavens above.
5. Sink your focus back down and root your energy into your abdomen. At this point you are surrounded by a column of dense energy (or Qi) that strengthens you and acts as a boundary between the earth and heaven to prevent the patient’s energy (or Qi) from invading your own tissues.
6. Next, expand the column of light around you so it fills the room (or the sacred space you have created). Visualize that this light now has a barrier of protection around the perimeter of your home (room, or sacred space). Mental say, or say outloud, that "only those who have permission may enter through this protection!" You can then mentally think (or say) who you will allow beyond yourself (my friends, my partner, my cat, my Higher Self, my Spiritual Guide(s), etc).
7. You now have a bubble of protection around the perimeter of your space, and you can end the meditation.
This protective energy will wain over time, so you need to periodically repeat the protective energy bubble meditation to keep this force field up. I do mine once a week.
What I soon discovered, however, is there were additional Spiritual Beings I didn't know who wanted (and needed) to converse with me, but it was no longer easy to just drop by and with in a meditation. So now what? Well, things got creative. Soon I started to be awakened from my sleep by the doorbell ringing before my daily morning meditation. At first it was 6:00 AM and I would go to the door, and no one was there. I would then start my daily morning meditation and I would be introduced to a new Spiritual Being who wanted to be allowed in so they could meet and converse. It was an odd way, this was an effective solution.
The bottom line is, that once you start cultivating your environment and fortifying the subtle energy of this space, it will become attractive for other, as well, and they may also want to hangout there because of how much better they feel in that environment. If you want protect your environmental space from negative energies and forces, however, you can put up a "bubble of protection" around your sacred space. You do this via a meditation or a ritual. The process is similar to how you can create energy of protection around your physical body, but instead of visualizing the protection around your physical body, you visualize protecting the energy of the sacred space you have created. For me, this bubble of protection has been very effective.
We cultivate Qi in our bodies to help improve our health and wellness - essentially as a means to keep the vehicle that houses our soul - in tip-top condition. But, we also want to be able to improve the Qi in our environment, too.
It is rather obvious that if our environment is healthy - free of pollutants and chemicals that may harm us - we have a higher probability of keeping our bodies healthy. It is also obvious that if we can be in an environment that is not filled with negative emotions (such as anger, hatred, jealousy, fear, rage, etc.) this, too, would provide a better environment for us to live in.
There are different ways we can improve the Qi and energy flow in our environment, like Feng Shui, or clearing the clutter. But another technique is to focus on the Qi in our living space, and improving the character, vibrancy, and purpose of that Qi.
Here are some quick and easy examples of clearing and improving the subtle energy of Qi in your home (or living space):
You can make up your own little ritual or activity so it makes sense to you, but you will should engage in this cultivation activity on a regular basis to keep the Qi nourished and flowing.
The human body is composed of different layers of energy. The physical body is the physical layer of the body that we can see, touch, smell, and even taste. It is this layer that includes all the physical components that make this vehicle work and move, like our bones, nerves, muscles, blood vessels, skin, organs, etc. But there are additional layers of energy in our body that are more subtle and often can not be seen or felt. But they are still there, and they work in concert with our physical body so it can do the job it was intended to do - to be the house for your spiritual self - your soul!
In addition to the physical layer of the body, there are energetic layers that are a replica of your physical body, but are nonphysical. In addition, there are points in this energetic replica that connect between your physical body to this energetic body. Those primary connecting points are what we know as acupuncture points. In addition to acupuncture points, our feelings also connect to the mind and nerves, as well as our energetic body. There are even deeper layers of the energy in the body, such as a "tank of energy" we call the Dantien, as well as our chakras. There is also a layer inside our energetic body that houses our very soul.
Our physical body is NOT just what we see in the mirror or what we see on the operating room table. We are made up of many different layers of subtle energy within our body, and they are all working together to give us what we need to experience and do in this life journey.
When we do Qi cultivation for our bodies, we learn to not only be aware of these different types of energy, but also learn to sense and experience these different layers in our body. But why would we want or need to do this? Because when we learn to tune in, sense, and experience these different layers in our body, we become more adept at tuning into the messages and communications going on within us. It's like being able to see the dashboard of a car and know when your energy is low, or if your engine light is on, or if you have low pressure in a tire. Being able to sense and read the messages within our body can help us improve our health, our wellness, or even help our ability to navigate the journey of our life path.
Qi cultivation - the ability to sense what is going on in our body, receive and understand the message, and then to act on the message is part of the journey of keeping our body - this vehicle - in its best-possible condition for an entire lifetime, has a lot of value. It is a foundation for us being able to live and achieve our life-time goals we came to earth to do.
